On February 13, 2025, the 17th Urban Planner's Day will be held in Poznań, dedicated to the challenges of planning reform.Participants will discuss the practical aspects of implementing the changes, as well as proposed solutions for successful implementation. The program includes sessions on master plans, public consultations and tools to support the reform. It's also a great opportunity to exchange experiences and collaborate in the industry.

The reform of the planning system has become an undeniable fact of life - with all its baggage of carried hopes and at least as many fears and doubts. As urban planners and planning practitioners, we are the quickest of all to see the risks of the reform looming on the horizon, because they are part of our daily work. We want to share them and talk about them, both in our own circles and by directing our message to government decision-makers. We will not focus on complaints - our goal is to point out concrete solutions that will make up the theme of the 17th Urban Planner's Day - “How to save the reform.”

The absence of a question mark is not a coincidence - we want to discuss and develop a positive proposal for a recovery package that will actually achieve the more important goals of the reform, avoiding the biggest risks and dangers We will rely on past insights and recent experience in the implementation of the reform, both from the perspective of a large city and typical municipalities of our country. We will try to grapple with the various practical challenges of drafting a master plan, also devoting considerable attention to methods and tools for presenting it to local government officials and the community. But there will be no shortage of what is always most valuable at the Urban Planner's Day - that is, the opportunity for many conversations in a collegial and friendly atmosphere. In the critical period of implementation of the reform, the integration and common voice of our community of practitioners and friends of urban planning are important as never before....

The 17th Urban Planner's Day will be held on February 13, 2025 in Room 1D of the Earth Hall pavilion at the Poznan International Trade Fair. Traditionally, the organizers of the event are the Society of Polish Urban Planners - Poznań Branch and the MTP Group, and this year the Municipal Urban Planning Laboratory in Poznań is also joining the group. More details will follow soon, but today we invite you to participate and meet together!
