Solid wood office buildings and light-frame schools - what technologies are behind modern wood construction and how to use them effectively
What are the leading technologies in modern timber construction? What is solid wood (such as laminated and cross-laminated timber) and lightweight timber framing (especially in the context of prefabrication)?

In his lecture, Piotr Brodniewicz will present their possibilities and limitations using examples of projects and realizations, touching on the use for obtaining the right functionality, aesthetics, fire resistance, durability in different environmental conditions, building stability or the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly process. He will try to answer where the real benefits of using different wood construction technologies lie and how to apply them so that the importance of their benefits is maximized and challenges do not become impassable barriers.
