During the opening of the second day of the forum, we met the winners of the “Architectural Sketches” competition, whose theme this year was wood in architecture. The award ceremony featured finalists and winners, who were hosted on stage by Jakub Glaz together with Wojciech Hildebrandt.

After two hours of deliberations, the jury consisted of:

  • Wojciech Hildebrandt - architect, Honorary Patron of the Architectural Sketches Competition - Chairman of the Jury,
  • Bartosz Małecki - Chairman of the Municipal Urban Planning and Architectural Commission
  • Agata Kulczyk - Lecturer at the Faculty of Graphic Design at UAP
  • Marcin Kościuch - Vice President for Creative Affairs of SARP Poznań Branch

selected 10 works that qualified for the second stage of the competition (list of finalists).

The winning works and the winner of the Audience Award were announced during the award ceremony on the ARCHI-STRADA 2025 stage. From among hundreds of works, characterized by a high level of content, art and craftsmanship, the jury selected the first 3 places. Below is a summary of the works, along with the justification:

1st prize The work stands out from the set of drawings submitted to the competition, both excellent technique and idea.Fairy-tale-like and delicate. With a story that draws you inside the picture. Brilliantly handling depth and chiaroscuro contrast. With perfect representation of the matter. A small format that confirms the thesis that “small is beautiful”. And to top it off, an idea that is a sad reflection on the state of our wooden architecture, which is passing away before our eyes.

2nd prize A vivid sketch as we expected in this competition. In a dynamic juxtaposition of traditional details and wooden architecture. Definitely composed and suggestively showing the beauty of a living and malleable building material - wood.

3rd prize Work awarded for the dynamism of the perspective shot. Lightly and freely drawn. Interestingly composed, using contrasts. With an interesting idea drawing wooden architecture of intimate scale, into the natural world full of tall trees.

The competition is organized by the Poznań International Fair. Partners of the COMPETITION are the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland and SARP Poznań.The honorary patron of this year's edition of the COMPETITION is Wojciech Hildebrandt, M.Sc. architect, versatile artist, architect and educator.

The three winners received cash prizes donated by the organizers and book prizes donated by Bookarest bookstore. Congratulations to all the winners!
